Hello Everyone!!

I have received a reply today from my email to the UK RSSC Agent. They have advised me that the price [ouside of dinner] is £13+ for White and £16+ for Red. I have presumed that she was quoting in GBP not USD. She also very kindly included a copy of the 2005 Bar & Wine List. If anyone is interested, I would be happy to cut & paste it into an email, if you can provide me with your email address. There was too much information to post it here... it went on for pages and pages!! :D

I would be interested, not in the whole list, but to know if you can confirm Bennet2005's post above saying that there are indeed free alternatives to the usual dinner red and white offering.

Hello again!

The following quote is from their email to me. Whilst they don't specifically state that there are alternatives, I would expect that they will be available because they just seem to want to accommodate everyone's taste & requirement.

Beverage Policy

Soft drinks and juices are complimentary onboard all RSSC ships at all times. Alcoholic beverages are charged at prevailing bar list prices. House wines are served with dinner on a complimentary basis.

Guests may order the following drinks as a substitution to the house pouring wines:

  • Beers, both domestic and imported.
  • House pouring brand champagne.
  • Well brand liquors, such as Scotch and water, Gin Tonic, Vodka Tonic, etc.

The substitutions to house pouring wines are only to be served in the actual dining venues during dinner hours.

In suite beverage setup 2006:

Guests are offered a complimentary in suite beverage setup onboard RSSC' vessels.

Should anyone in the UK need to contact the Regent Agent, the email address I have been using is... cruise@rssc.co.uk . I just quoted my cruise reference in the subject and asked my questions below. They have been exceptionally helpful.

Hope this has been sufficiently enlightening! :)

p.s. I have recently received a further email from them saying that they have emailed their Operations Department in the USA (to confirm the prices of House Wines) and will contact me again in due course.

Thank you. With Bennet2005 post and the information you have acquired it seems that the situation has cleared up. ie No free wine with lunch and probably free alternatives to the dinner pouring wines.

No real answer to the title of this thread however, can one bring locally purchased wine in to lunch and if so would corkage be charged?

I am certain that I have read somewhere in one the threads that there was no objection to bringing local wine onboard and no corkage charge incurred.... Just wish I could remeber where it was!

:) I recently had an update from Regent UK on the cost of House Wines on Voyager, which was supplied by:

Gina Underwood |Passenger Service Specialist

Regent Seven Seas Cruises | 11340 Blondo Street, Omaha, NE 68164

tel: 800.285.1835, ext 2514 | fax: 402.501.5599 | www.TheRegentExperience.com

Formerly Radisson Seven Seas Cruises

"House wines can be purchased onboard for $29 per bottle".

No problem bringing wine on board, and no corkage fee. We brought a bottle of wine we'd purchased in Spain with us to lunch and they were happy to open and pour it for us.

We did get charged if we asked for a glass of their wine at lunch. But remember that that ends as of Jan. 1. At that point Regent goes "all-inclusive" and you won't be charged for alcoholic beverages at ANY time of the day or night.

The answer is yes you can bing local wines onboard and NO you will never be charged a corkage fee lunch or dinner.

So good you told us twice.:D
