mikemcf31 Posted August 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2006 Hi will be traveling on the Explorer of the Seas 11/3 out of Bayonne with my wife and 2 kids (age 10 and 4). Any suggestions for excursion s in Labadee and Curacoa? We dont mind splitting up for a bit if something is good for the 10 year old but no the 4 year old. Thanks for any recommendations! This is our first cruise w/ the kids!! all the best.. Mike
Nanatravel Posted August 1, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 1, 2006 Labadee is the RCI private island beach destination. The kids will love the Water Park. No need to book any "tours". You can go to any beach shack and rent floats if you want, too or snorkle equipment but I would wait until you get there to make that decision. There is a BBQ pavilion, so don't miss lunch - you can use your Sign & Sail card for drink purchases -go earlier. Skip the Crafts Marketplace unless you like been hastled agressively and don't let the kids go there alone. You will need cash for Souvenirs and tips (beach boys). Curacao has a great Aquarium with a nice beach right next door. Just take a taxi and arrange for a time for them to return to pick you up. Its a nice stop for everyone, especially a family. Bon Voyage Nanatravel
