Scuba dives in Rangiroa, Tuamotu Islands in French Polynesia

We're heading to French Polynesia for a 19-day cruise in November, and I plan on doing a lot of diving. I'm in the process of getting my PADI open water certification right now, and by the cruise I will have been on a number of dives. One of the islands we're visiting is Rangiroa. There are two dives that I can take -- Outer Reef for certified divers, and Tiputa Pass for advanced divers. Has anyone done these dives? The Taputa Pass sounds fascinating -- if I'm told it's worth it, I may go ahead and get my Advanced certification so I can do that one...but if it's not such a huge deal I won't bother with this class yet.

Any feedback? Thanks!

Tiputa Pass is AMAYZING! and so long as you have a fair amount of dives logged you shoudl be fine. But with the short perios of time you have- it might be challenging. I think it would depend on how comfortable you are in the water and with your skills!

But the Dive is AMAYZING!
