skarletohara Posted August 9, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2006 I would like to know if anyone has the EXACT square footages of the various categories of full suites. I know the VS's are slightly smaller than the PH's, but I would like to know exact dimensions of the rooms as well as the square footages of the balconies. In the brochure it just states a range of from xxx to xxxx. From the pictures it looks like the PH's on Caribe are a little larger than the VS's and PS's. spongerob Posted August 9, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2006 Skarlet, I think the interior differences are minimal, and the real difference between the categories is 1)location and 2)balcony size. Even among the PS categories there are some tiny differences, for example C751 is slightly larger than C749, but C751 has that big beam that goes through the balcony. If you are trying to make a decision, remember that the aft-facing suites in the stern on Grand-class ships have covered and very private balconies, while the PH balconies are similar to the Caribe deck balcony suite. I'm not sure what the PH's are like on the CB and KP where they are up on Riviera deck. I don't know if this helps or not since I can't answer your question exactly. skarletohara Posted August 9, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted August 9, 2006 Thanks for your quick reply spongerob! I should have clarified we're talking about the Golden. We love the aft location and didn't mind the obstruction beam before when we had E733, but in studying the diagram last night it appeared as if the Vistas were quite a bit smaller than the PH's on Caribe, but we love the aft location of the Vista's because they're on a corner. This time we're looking at a Vista on Dolphin deck which has a larger balcony than the Vista that was on the Emerald deck. Having studied Coral's fabulous pictures, it appears that C749 has a nice large balcony too. Decisions, decisions.
spongerob Posted August 9, 2006 #4 Share Posted August 9, 2006 We enjoyed C749. My preference is for an aft location, for a lot of reasons, if one is available and the budget permits. I like feeling a little motion. I also like the fact that there is very little traffic outside your door. The only downside is you get the shaking from the thrusters when you are docking. Shaking is good!! I hate waking up in port without being alerted.
Oppgaard Posted August 9, 2006 #6 Share Posted August 9, 2006 I have E733 VS on the STAR for an upcoming cruise and was told by some others that it was as large as (if not larger) than the PS and the PH suites. That was at least for most of them. Perhaps I heard wrong. We wanted the aft anyway so are happy with our choice plus it was several hundred dollars less than the next category up.
