Constellation Questions

Help...I have a few questions about the Constellation. I'm a first time Celebrity cruiser.

Is the only "indoor" pool the one in the Spa? Is it available to all or do you have to pay spa fees?

If you use the casual dining area for dinner...is the charge $2 per person and how is it paid...charged on your shipboard account or cash on the table?!!

Is there a hand held shower attachment?

How's the room storage in a regular cabin? Any storage in the bathroom?

Is the Cirque de Soleil show just once on the cruise or if a second show...is it the same?

Are there refrigerators in the regular cabins?

Are tips automatically put on your account or is it the "old way"...envelopes on the last night?

We're booked on the Sep 2007 TA...anyone done this itinerary who can tell me what nights were formal?

Thanks in advance for answering my obsessive questions!

Help...I have a few questions about the Constellation. I'm a first time Celebrity cruiser.

I'll take a crack at some of them, but my info is from our Connie cruises during May 2006.

Afraid so, but there is no additional charge for the thallasotherapy pool in the spa on the Constellation or any other M class ships.:)

Sorry, never used it.:o

Depends on the cabin. But there is usually plenty of storage in all cabins.

Is the Cirque de Soleil show just once on the cruise or if a second show...is it the same?

There is only one show per cruise, and only a short one at that, but it is announced well in advance in the Daily Activities sheet.

Are there refrigerators in the regular cabins?

Yes, but they are filled with Celebrity products so if you want to use it to store your own stuff, ask your stateroom attendent to remove the contents first so you don't get charged for them. BTW, they are not very cold.

Are tips automatically put on your account or is it the "old way"...envelopes on the last night?

You can do it either way, just let the guest relations desk know if you want to charge them.:)

Usually the first night at sea is a formal night, this itinerary is a little different with the first cruising night a late departure from LeHarve so it is safe to assume it won't be then.:D

Thanks in advance for answering my obsessive questions!

fhmoore,

We are on the same sailing in Sept 07 TA.

I have sailed Constellation twice, both times on the Westbound TA.

I can answer some of your questions. Others I will have to defer to others, as I don't recall for sure on some of these topics.

1. The only indoor pool is the Aqua Spa, and it was no extra charge when I was there. Good cafe there too.

2. Not sure the charge on casual dining. Whatever it is would be to cover tips I suspect. My wife used it once on the Summit, and it was charged to our shipboard account. No cash used on the ship unless it the casino.

3. I don't recall the shower being hand held.

4. We stayed in a bacony cabin one time, and an inside cabin another. Storage was fine in both cabins. Bathroom storage pretty good too...in the vanity. We always had more storage than we needed.

5. Didn't go to Cirque shows as several folks who had been told me to not waste my time. Someone else may know better though.

6. My cabins had refrigerators. I didn't use them however, so don't really know about them.

7. Tips can be done the old fashioned way, or you can fill out a form to have the tips charged to the cabin. Seems like the form was sent to the cabin about 1/2 way thru the cruise. If you elect the shipboard charges, they give you envelopes anyway, that you can hand out. They tell the recepient that their tip is going on your account.

Hope this helps. Others may have better re-call. Or they may have more updated info. My last Connie sailing was 9/05.

Dave
