Hawaii697 Posted August 9, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2006 I sailed on the Destiny last year and don't recall waiting in line to have my docs inspected to leave the ship, in St. Thomas. :) Can anyone tell me when they started this, why and do we still go through immigration on debarkation day? Thanks! serene56 Posted August 9, 2006 #3 Share Posted August 9, 2006 Not all ships have immigration in St Thomas-- (glory and Valor Eastern Itineraries do ) If the ship leaves florida and goes to Bahamas first then st thomas you need to visit immigration first before getting off. yumyum047 Posted August 9, 2006 #6 Share Posted August 9, 2006 So my Triumph cruise (THREE DAYS!!! WOOHOO!!!) that stops in San Juan, then St. Thomas won't have to do immigration, will it? Since Puerto Rico is a US territory?

BlueHerons Posted August 9, 2006 #8 Share Posted August 9, 2006 St. Thomas is one of the United States Virgin Islands. It isn't a foreign country.
