Is there enough to do in Miami for 5 days?? I was planning to stay on for 5 days after my cruise....?

Hard to say on if there's enough to do in Miami for 5 more days, it really all depends on what you enjoy. Here's a few ideas:

 

1) Bayside is right next to the port. I'm not sure where you are staying exactly. There are tons of shops and several restaurants (Hard Rock, Bubba Gumps, Hooters, etc.) there that could probably take up the good part of one day if you've not been there.

 

2) If you like baseball, you might check to see if the Marlins are in town while you're there.

 

3) If you're staying on the beach someplace you can do that during the day and then fun evening trips to places like Coconut Grove, South Beach, etc.

 

Do a little research based on where your hotel is. I know there's aquariums and all sorts of sites along that line.

 

Hope that helps a little - we've never put more than 2 days extra on the side of a cruise.

South Beach is easily a day, both shopping and the beach, go to Bar Harbor/Coconut Grove/Little Havana for a day, drive up to the Space port for a day, drive down to the Keys for a day, and that leaves an extra day just to enjoy the beach again.

sure, as a Miami resident I know there's lots to do..... Many people enjoy south beach, clubs, beaches, restaurants, plenty of stuff to do and see.....but if you have 5 days on your hands your cruise is obviously not long enough ;)

Plenty to do. The Everglades, Monkey Jungle, Miami Metrozoo, ethnic tours, boat tours, Coconut Grove, South Beach, the Keys, Fairchild Tropical Gardens, Vizcaya, Science Museum and Planetarium, and so on. Come and spend some time visiting Miami!
