Riviera Deck Balconies

Some of the Crown's Riviera Deck balconies are located just beneath a part of the Lido Deck that protrudes out considerably farther than the rest of the Lido deck. From photos, it looks like the protruding starts in midship and goes aft from there. I wonder if these balconies are superb because of this big "canopy" and are therefore shady, more private and secluded, more quiet, etc. Or are they lousy because they are dark, no air, no sun, can't see the sky, etc.? I would like to hear some opinions before making a decision about them. Comments from anyone who has stayed in one of these balconies on the Crown or Caribbean Princess would be interesting, very helpful, and appreciated.

We stayed on the CB last year . And it was fine the only downside was a little noise from the deck above. Not that the little noise would stop me from staying there again. Balcony was perfect. We were right where you are talking about.
