St Kitts -- At The Pier

We have something planned for our day in St. Kitts, but if it doesn't work out, are there tour operators and taxi tour guides at the pier? What can we expect in terms of tour sites, availability of tours, and cost? Thanks!

Anyone else ever just grab a cab at the pier?

It has been awhile since I have been there, but there were always a lot of taxis at the pier.

I went to these sites however could not find anything showing costs. Does anyone have an idea of the fees.

You should find taxi drivers by Port Zante when you disembark. If not it's a short walk to The Circus where you can the taxi stand is located.

 

Tours fill up quickly when the ships are in port, therefore prebooking is advised.

 

There are many tours you can go on.

It's usually cheaper to book directly with the tour operators/guides.

In December our ship berthed at the 'old' Port.

 

When we came off our ship there was a local guy asking if we wanted a tour or to go to town. When we said a tour and what we wanted to see, he simply called over a mini-bus driver and we embarked with other (unknown) guests off our ship. The price was agreed beforehand, via the first local, and off we went. No problem.
