Cape Liberty Question

We've booked a cruise on Explorer of the Seas for October '07. We are planning to do a 3-day precruise stay in Manhattan. From looking at the Cape Liberty internet site, I gather taxis into Manhattan run around $80 to $90. Are buses available? What about shuttles or private cars? Any suggestions and tips are appreciated.

go to the Cape Liberty website for info. You can take a bus to the PATH train into NYC for a lot less than a taxi.

We are also cruising out of Port Liberty and staying in Manhattan. I found a car service (Carmel car service) that will take us from Manhattan to Cape Liberty for 44 + tolls and tip. This seemed much better than cab fare.

Anyone know how far LaGuardia (LGA) is from the Cape Liberty pier? Any suggestions for the cheapest transportation from the airport to the pier?
