Playa Sol Beach Club

We were there a few weeks ago. It is a long strip of beach, not too crowded - at least the day we were there. There are umbrellas and palm trees you can sit under on beach chairs. Snorkeling is okay, not too big of a deal. If you get the "all you can drink" deal it is cheaper thru the ship. Or you can pay a couple dollars more and buy it there. If you don't want to drink, you can just pay $10.00 admission. Then you have to pay $5.00 if you want to use the umbrella for shade. There is a strip with little stores where you can buy souveners. You'll get a better price there than in town.

Here are a couple pictures, scroll down to the bottom for Playa sol

I think Paradise Beach is by far the better deal. No entry fee. Delicious food and frosty beverages, loads of free amenities! Free entry, free chairs, free umbrellas, free floating mats, free kayaks, free water trampoline, free iceberg, free (with refundable deposit) snorkel gear. Closer to the piers than Playa Sol (now Playa Mia, btw) and better in every way!
