Gratuity for spa services

Last summer I was on a Carnival ship and, if I remember correctly, I had to fill in the gratuity on the charge slip. I usually have stayed in the 15-20% range, but wasn't sure if that was appropriate.

On Princess Ships, using the Steiners Spa, there is NO TIP INCLUDED. It is the pax discretion.

I like to tip in cash and use the currency of the country (AUD in Oz, NZD in NZ).

On the Caribbean Princess as well as the Sapphire Princess, the Spa Operation has been turned over to Princess in-house, using Phytomer Products. :D In these Lotus Spas (only SA and CB currently), the 15% gratuity is automatically added onto the rate of the Treatment; however, it is easily adjusted by increasing, decreasing, or omitting completely if you hated the treatment that much.
