CEV426 Posted July 8, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 8, 2004 I've never seen them before. They look like a garden clog. Are they waterproof?
atticus Posted July 8, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2004 These were recently featured in The New York Times Fashion section. Got a good write-up.
happysinglemom Posted July 8, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 8, 2004 Yuck. I would wear them as a garden shoe only.
Levi421 Posted July 9, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted July 9, 2004 CEV426, ya, i think they are water proof. they look kind of odd but they are really comefortable and not too expensive. i have two pairs but since they are popular here in colorado some people i know have like 7 pairs. they are meant to massage your feet and they can be used daily or for gardening or anything near water plus the style most common (beach) has holes on the top and sides to allow sand and other stuff on a beach to pass through them easily. your feet won't get sweaty in them either and they weigh like 6 ounces. i would reccomend them to anyone cruising! happy single mom, why would you only where them to garden? they are a great way to support your feet for an entire day because they are so light and meant to "massage" your feet constantly. happysinglemom Posted July 9, 2004 #6 Share Posted July 9, 2004 Levi - I simply think they are ugly - that's why. For a garden shoe - I don't really care what they look like, so that's why I said that. I'm all for comfortable shoes, but if I don't like the looks of them. I'm not gonna wear them in public.
