themasons Posted August 24, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2006 Is there any way to know your stateroom number on a balcony guarantee 6 weeks prior to departure? On Carnival you can order something for your stateroom and your cabin number will come up, It dosent seem to work on Princess. Thanks for any input. LARGIN Posted August 24, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 24, 2006 On a GTY, Princess can wait until you board before telling you.. Usually it is months earlier, however on my Oct 2006 Mexico cruise GTY, they have not assigned a room as of this date.
bunky144 Posted August 24, 2006 #3 Share Posted August 24, 2006 We have often booked GUA Balcony's with Princess, our October one was lowest Balcony available and we were given a great spot on Aloha deck, be patient they are usually very good, maybe they are waiting for the upgrade fairy to sparkle her dust on a special room for you! Good Luck, enjoy your cruise.
cherylandtk Posted August 24, 2006 #4 Share Posted August 24, 2006 On Princess, the room number usually will show up on the summary page of your Personalizer when it has been assigned. Up until then it will say Gurantee. You don't have to go through the machinations like you do on Carnival, just check your Personalizer.
jennew Posted August 24, 2006 #5 Share Posted August 24, 2006 We booked our Honeymoon (and first cruise) as a balcony guarantee. We were given one of those rooms overlooking the promenade at first and our personalizer showed that. Then a few weeks before we left, we found out we were changed to a Caribe balcony. I was so pleased!
shmthaus Posted August 24, 2006 #6 Share Posted August 24, 2006 We booked AE GTY for Jan07 Grand Princess sailing and we just received conf. for AA Balcony on Dolphin Deck on the hump. Our AE booking was $200/pp cheaper than if we selected AA. We were worried that we would get too far forward or aft and ended up on the hump. Baseball fan Posted August 24, 2006 #7 Share Posted August 24, 2006 We booked a BE guarantee for January. They just assigned us a BA (on the Lido deck). I realize that could change but I am perfectly happy if it stays as is.
