cabin selection millenium

I am looking at connecting inside cabins on this ship and what is available is in the very forward part of decks 7 and 8 and 9. Does anyone know what it is like to be in these sections of the ship? We have always stayed mid ship or in the aft section.

Any help would be appreciated.

I checked the deck plans of Millennium in the Celebrity brochure, and you are correct. The only connecting inside staterooms are forward on decks 7, 8 and 9. There are plenty of inside staterooms midship (deck 2, 3, etc.) but they are not connecting.

Best Regards,

We stayed in the first inside cabin on deck 8 (I believe it was 8027) on the Constellation to the Baltic two years ago. It is next to a service room with the crew elevators on the opposite wall and we never heard a sound or saw anyone going in or out of that room. I think the crew usually use a different elevator. The only time I saw this room used was for luggage. We loved the cabin. It is close to the indoor pool, spa, and fitness center. These are the places we like to be the closest to, so we don't have to walk through the ship in bathing suit and flip flops. We did not even hear a sound from the people in the connecting cabin. Towards the end of the cruise we asked if there was anyone in that cabin. You will also notice that with fewer cabins after yours, there are not many groups coming back to their room late and chatting in the halls. By the time you get to that last turn, the groups usually split up or turn left. We are early birds.

We booked the same cabin last year for a cruise to the Med on the Millenium. Same comments - no noise and convenience. There is healthy food and drink at the spa pool all day and we liked having water, juice, kool aid(?) and ice available close to our room all day.

You will also notice if you are on deck 8 there is nothing noisy above and below you.

This year we booked a last minute trip to Canada/New England on the Connie. We were delighted to get a room on the forward part of deck 9.

Sorry this is so long but I hope this answers your questions.

Have a great cruise.

We stayed on 7 forward on the Millenium in July. We were close to the forward elevators, which made it very convenient to get to upper floors during port arrivals. But getting to dinner was an excursion through the casino and nightclubs. We enjoy being forward simply because there is less foot traffic in the hallways.
