Courtyard Marriott Miramar or Embassy Suites Hotel & Casino

Never have stayed at the Courtyard, but have stayed at the Embassy 4 times. They have a great cooked to order breakfast, and then the managers cocktail party every night, with whatever you want to drink including the frozen things. It is two blocks from the most beautiful beach, an easy, safe stroll. There is a Pueblo supermarket one block away to stock up on anything you would like to bring along. Lots of restaurants nearby. Sound proof rooms. Very nice pool and hot tub area. They have a casino, as well as an Outback Steakhouse on the property. If the prices are the same, I'd stay at the Embassy.

We stayed at the ES and our friends stayed at the Courtyard. When they came over for "our" free cocktail hour, they seemed impressed. A room at the ES will be twice as big and you get free breakfast, also. THE ES is close to the beach (but not on it), around the corner from a Publix gracery store, if you want to take wine onboard, and near other hotels, restaurants and fast food. If we return to SJ, it would be my first choice.
