Shopping in Belize?

Are there any good places for shopping near the tender area in Belize? From what I gather from the other posts, there isn't a whole lot to do in this port as far as beches go so I'm just wondering if there is any decent shopping or other things to see. Thanks!

The port area has several stores that have reasonably priced items. I bought a couple of beautiful wooden bowls there. We also left the port area and walked around the street market right across from the secured area. I would not do that again. I didnt feel totally safe.

I would book some sort of excursion in Belize. We are doing river rafting with Coral Breezes. We did cave tubing with x-stream the first time we were there and had a super time. My least favorite port.

We just came back and after cave-tubing we shopped in the the little area across the street from the terminal. We felt safe the entire time - but then again we shop in Philadelphia and New York
