Onboard booking question

Recommended Posts

My wife and I will be cruising on Navigator this coming January. We are planning to send our son and future daughter-in-law on a cruise as a wedding gift in June. We picked out a cruise on the Majesty. Can we book that cruise when we are on the Navigator and still get on-board credits?

We were not allowed to book for someone else and get cruise credits. They must be on the cruise with you.

I know this happened to you, but that doesn't always happen. We have booked future cruises and have booked another cabin for friends on the same cruise, and they got the OBC, too.

I do not think you can book for someone going on a different cruise and get the OBC for them.

Experience is mixed, and varies based on the loyalty ambassador. Some people report great flexibility, others less. For me personally, on Radiance this week, I was refused OBC on any but my own cabin, and I was booking three cabins on the same cruise. I mentioned that others get it, and was told that those ambassadors "shouldn't have" done it. FWIW.
