gonecruising Posted July 16, 2004 #51 Share Posted July 16, 2004 On the 7/2 cruise of the 9nt Voyager, the dress code included two formal nights. The cruise compass had smart casual listed in one place and casual in another..so technically it was 1 smart casual and the rest casual. In my case, we dressed up for the formal nights, did casual for the rest, except for the night we went to Portofino's...the guys wore sport jackets. But even in there, men dressed in short sleeve shirts and slacks. So don't worry...7 nts casual and 2 dress up nights is fine. You should see what some people wore on formal night....man oh man. I saw a table where two mean were wearing tuxes and two others were wearing sleeveless T-shirts!

c breeze Posted July 26, 2004 #53 Share Posted July 26, 2004 Hey Lizcourt do you know what time the muster drills were and how long they were? I believe the muster drill was at 4:30 PM, just before sail away. Wish I was starting the cruise all over again!
pumbaa70 Posted July 26, 2004 #54 Share Posted July 26, 2004 so they do it before you leave port?
c breeze Posted July 26, 2004 #55 Share Posted July 26, 2004 so they do it before you leave port? Yes, right before, since the ship sails at 5:00 PM and at 5:30 PM goes under the bridge. Then you go right to dinner if you are at first seating! Our luggage arrived during the muster drill.
pumbaa70 Posted July 26, 2004 #56 Share Posted July 26, 2004 Where is the best place to be when going under the bridge and when leaving NY harbor?
c breeze Posted July 26, 2004 #57 Share Posted July 26, 2004 Where is the best place to be when going under the bridge and when leaving NY harbor? Probably deck 12 or 13 outside. Much of deck 11 is partaill covered. We were busy unpacking, but did go out on our balcony!
