I guess you can take an excurion to swim in the waters and you are illuminated. But...it only happens certain times of the month..full moon? Not sure. Does anyone have any infor? Thanks.. texancruzer Posted September 22, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 22, 2006 Bioluminesence Bay - these are organisms in the water that when they are disturbed they glow..... the tours involve kayaking in this bay when the moon IS NOT FULL as the light from the moon diminishes the glow. There is another bay in the southern part of the island, west of Ponce if I remember correctly. I thought it was called Phosphorescent Bay. I'm sorry I don't have more info on this.
