somewhat early flight

I'm going on the 6 day western caribbean cruise 5/06/07 and am looking at an 11:40 AM flight out of Floria back home. The port is Everglades, FL and the airport is Fort Lauderdale 5-10 min. drive, so I'm told. Second cruise but first as adult hadling arrangements :) . What does everybody think? Thanks

If you self disembark you should have no problem catching your flight but anything can happen form the ship getting in late to trouble getting through customs.

I am having a similar problem but i have already booked my flight. I am scheduled to leave at noon from Tampa and the port is about a half an hour away. From what I read on Carnival's website, they say that the earliest departing flight should be no earlier than 11:30. Hope this helps! I'm sure I'll be on edge, but everyone I know who has been on a cruise says I should have no problem.

Tampa is 11:20 but it's different for every port. All the ports are listed here and tell you the earliest flight you can schedule.

I actually have an 11:00am flight out of Tampa :eek: I'm just planning on doing the self-disembark...hopefully it's still available on the Miracle. Anyone know if it is?

I'd be very comfortable with the FLL flight at 11:40. Bad vibes for 11:00 out of TPA. Aside from the longer drive, the maneuvers the ship has to do to get to the dock in Tampa are much more complicated - A mild fog will ruin your day.
