Yes, it is possible it happened to us once. But I was upset because I picked that cabin and wanted it!

It's very rare to get moved if you choose a specific cabin. People who've selected cabins that hold more people than they have/chosen handicapped cabins might get moved. CCL is supposed to ask your permission beforehand

Just went through this--I asked for upgrade and did not get it but did get $$ credit ($120) on my credit card when the price for the room that I had booked dropped. Then I called back and upgraded room for additional $120 so it was a wash.

They gave me an upgrade as per the promotion but than I had to book a specific cabin. I would have rather waited to see what would have happened. But I am never going to argue with a free upgrade.. Ü

Booked the Imagination 4 day in June for the 11-2-06 sailing using past guest, purchased a 4a got upgraded to 4e on Verandah, when the price dropped I emailed my PVP about an OBC. He got back to me right away and offered an OBC for the difference or an oceanview on Empress Deck took the oceanview, not a bad deal at all.
