Pudgesmom Posted September 26, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 26, 2006 We went to a local travel clinic before our Windstar cruise last year. The nurse there had the latest information on all of our ports of call, which included the Panama Canal and some ports on the Atlantic side of Costa Rica. I think though, that the Nicaragua stop was one of the ones which kicked out several vaccinations. We got several shots-can't remember now which ones, and one of the two malarial medications. Of course, things could have changed since then. There are several reviews on this site with information on shore excursions on your cruise. We particularly enjoyed our ATV trip in Quepos. BP617 Posted October 17, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 17, 2006 Will be sailing on WindStar this February. Previously have been to Costa Rica 3 times, though. Never needed shots:)
duct tape Posted October 23, 2006 #5 Share Posted October 23, 2006 As I remember, we never needed shots for Central America. The shots I would recommend, though, are tequila!!
