Scooter Between Airport and Ship

We're flying into MIA with my wife's Pride, Revo scooter for our May 6 cruise on Freedom of the Seas. We're flying into Miami the day before, and staying at the Intercontinental. For those of you with experience here, what options do we have for getting the scooter from the airport to the hotel, and then on to the ship?

Find out if the hotel has a shuttle service. If the do, they are also required to provide accessible transfers free of charge (even if it costs them to provide it).

 

If not, take a taxi.

Thanks so much Candy. I figured on a taxi, but wasn't sure how to go about finding one that could take the chair.

in the event that you do have to take a taxi, just tell the dispatcher that you need a van or minivan cab to be able to put the scooter in the back. so many taxis can't get one in the trunk because of luggage, but a minivan can:)
