We were on the Triumph last Feb. for our first cruise. We loved it so much we have booked the Valor for 4/22 this year. We had a balcony cabin on the upper deck and the view was amazing. I am positive you will love the Western Carib. We did the stingrays in Grand Cayman and even bought the video. We are doing the Eastern Carib. this year and we can't wait! I know you will love the Triumph. One last thing I won $1500. in the casino above what I spent all week. That was the icing on the cake! The slots were hot.:D

The Triumph was our first cruise in May. We loved every minute of it. I guess we really didn't have anything to compare with and I was a little afraid of having our "dream vacation" built up a little too much but every minute lived up to our expections. We did the eastern caribbean.

We had a balcony cabin - 8315 - if I remember right. It was larger than I expected. Service was terrific. We had room service early every morning and they were never late. We loved the food. We ate in the dining room every night. Figured it was crazy to spend the $$$ in the ports when the food was so great on the ship. We had the late seating and that made it easy for us to do what we wanted on the islands. We loved the "entertainment" after dinner and then always went to the shows immediately afterwards.

That was probably our only "disappointment." We have a daughter that dances and so didn't find the shows extraordinary, but they were still very good. The comedians were so-so. We laughed so hard on talent night that it hurt!

Dh also did very well at the blackjack tables, so that made if fun for me to spend his winnings.

We really enjoyed Stuart. I don't know if he is still the cruise director, but we thought he was a lot of fun.

We are pretty easy to please, heck, just get us away from the ranch and work and we love everything, so this might not be very fair!!!

I just booked the Glory for the western caribbean but dh said he wouldn't care if we did the exact same cruise as we did this year!

We just did the Triumph on the Western route on 09/16/06. We also loved every minute of it. I agree with an above post that said they didn't care that much for the shows although my sister and her husband really liked them. I did think the comedians were pretty good. Eddie Capone was the better of the two. The talent show on the last night was good. Some of them seemed like they should have been a reject on American Idol but i'll give them credit for having the guts to do it. Some of the others were very good though. All in all a great week and I too would do it again tomorrow if I could.

Mountainbeers!

It's been awhile since I've been "on board!"

What did you do on the western for excursions? Anything you would really recommend - or not? I'm looking at everything right now!

Westernmom,

On the Western trip we went to Paradise Beach in Cozumel. There you get a great beach day and can go snorkeling on a catamaran if you like. But while there we went parasailing after consuming a few buckets of beer. All it costs to go to Paradise Beach is a taxi ride which is very reasonable. After that we did some shopping downtown with plenty of time to get back to the ship. In Grand Cayman we went with Nativeway and did their Rays, Reef, and Rumpoint tour. That was great! not to be missed. With that you get a snorkeling stop, then go to stingray city sandbar , and after the first snorkeling stop they give you menus so you can order what you want to eat when they take you to Rumpoint. Rumpoint is beautiful and the food they serve you there is pretty good too. The food btw is part of the package so there is no additional cost for that. In Jamaicca we were at Ocho Rios so since we did Dunns River Falls last year we just went to Margaritaville to get some eats and drinks and then since the beach is out the back door we went swimming for a few hours. But if you haven't been to Dunns River Falls I would recommend that. All in all we had a great time.

Now if you've done the Eastern route give me some ideas please.

Good to see you on the boards again. If you're like me you can't wait until your next cruise!
