Vodka Options

Is Grey Goose an option for in room bar set up? We drink GG dirty martinis. Should be bring along a bottle of olive juice?

 

Can we "upgrade" to GG if this is not offered as a standard?

I get Grey Goose, but you can only get one bottle for your cabin instead of two. I prefer the l'orange for Cosmopolitans or Lemon Drop Martini's and usually there is a wait to get it but never had a problem.

On Mariner, last year, I got a bottle of Chopin vodka which is, I believe, a step up from Grey Goose. If you're getting premium, get the most expensive.:p

I prefer not to pucker up when I sip my martini, dirty or otherwise:). Not having experienced Chopin, I have been making due with Grey Goose.

 

It is on my list to try should I find a bar between now and then that offers it.

On the subject of in-cabin liquor, has anyone ever asked for tequila? My husband and I really like to sip Patron or other good quality tequila. Any chance we'll have luck asking for a bottle of nice stuff?

Poolechick, I wouldn't be surprised. We were on a 7-day cruise and got 2 bottles of vodka and 2 of scotch! We thought we'd get one of each and not being big drinkers, that was daunting! We exchanged one bottle for a nice red wine, and two for Drambuie (bottles have to be unopened, of course). If they could get the Drambuie to us it's likely you could get tequila of some variety.

 

We used the remaining bottle of vodka for mixed drinks... screwdrivers, Cape Codders, vodka tonics etc. What a life! You'll have a great time.
