David4 Posted October 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 1, 2006 Does anyone have any recommendations for Hotels from the Newark airport/Cape Liberty Port. We are flying in a day earlier and looking to stay the night. RCL has a agreement with Hilton Penn Station, but not sure? Best Western has a cruise package, but which one? Thanks for the help. FinelyCruising Posted October 1, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 1, 2006 Look into Hyatt in Jersey City and see what you think....
gkrebs Posted October 1, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 1, 2006 Or if you really want to splurge, look for something in the city or if that seems to much of a hassle, defiently book a show. If you've never seen one dont miss the opportunity.
megr1125 Posted October 1, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 1, 2006 Residence Inn, Courtyard or Country Inn & Suites at exit 13A in Newark/Elizabeth. $40 cab ride to the pier.... There is also a ruby tuesday in the parking lot, and jersey gardens outlet mall...the hotels will drive you over.

familycruzer Posted October 3, 2006 #7 Share Posted October 3, 2006 I did the Best Western deal for my last cruise. Breakfast was more than I expected and the transfers went without a hitch.
suzy671 Posted October 3, 2006 #8 Share Posted October 3, 2006 The Courtyard by Marriot is pretty close, it might also have a shuttle to the pier.
logan1_2000 Posted October 3, 2006 #9 Share Posted October 3, 2006 DS and I were in NYC for a boys weekend, yankee stadium and statue of liberty sightseeing (he is 10), and darn if I haven't taught him right--we're on the ferry to liberty island and he points out across the harbor to the NJ docks and in the distance, a bit hard to pick out in the haze on a sunny sunday morning, he declares, "Look dad, there's a Royal Caribbean ship!"...ah, we had located Cape Liberty. As they hassled us w/ multiple times through security (Uh, I went through security along w/ everyone else to get ON the ferry, then I had to go through again to go into the statue...exactly where was I supposed to have gotten the contraband?), the joke was "yeah it was a great trip, statue of liberty, yada yada yada, but then WE GOT TO SEE THE ROYAL CARIBBEAN SHIP AND THAT WAS THE BEST PART OF THE WEEKEND..."
