RWolver672 Posted October 3, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 3, 2006 Sorry no secret deck, well it might be since its right above the bridge....... This picture is from the Conquest which is identical to the Glory. You can access it from the front of the deck. I'm actually standing on top of the bridge. http://travel.webshots.com/photo/1064257187030186251wbEcvC
shandabyb Posted October 3, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 3, 2006 Just back and our room was on the lido deck. There is a small deck on the front which is over the bridge. Shanda

RWolver672 Posted October 3, 2006 #6 Share Posted October 3, 2006 Just back and our room was on the lido deck. There is a small deck on the front which is over the bridge. Shanda That deck is actually the largest of the decks on the bow of the ship. It extends past the sides of the ship whereas the lower decks don't. If you ever watch the commercials where they show people standing out on their balconies, that is where the pictures were taken from.
GOTTA CRUISE NOW Posted October 3, 2006 Author #7 Share Posted October 3, 2006 So, if I had an inside room right @ the front of that deck, I could just go out of my cabin & (almost) have my own private front-facing balcony?
mrdood Posted October 3, 2006 #8 Share Posted October 3, 2006 ...you and (almost) everyone else, I tend to spend my time out there when entering and departing ports, it gets crowded at those times, but is pretty quiet otherwise.
gypsyrose Posted October 3, 2006 #9 Share Posted October 3, 2006 We had a forward balcony cabin on the Glory and we went to the forward deck for most sailaways and when we came into port. Hardly ever anyone out there. Yes, it is still a secret to most people.
GOTTA CRUISE NOW Posted October 3, 2006 Author #10 Share Posted October 3, 2006 I'm now officially booked! :D 123 days & counting!!!
racegrrl Posted October 4, 2006 #11 Share Posted October 4, 2006 We had a Lido cabin on the Glory and on sailaway it was open, the rest of the cruise it was locked. Don't know why, but we couldn't access it from our level. If you went one more down, you could come up the stairs and go there. It was weird. We tried every day, even though we had our own balcony, it was neat up there. GOTTA CRUISE NOW Posted October 4, 2006 Author #12 Share Posted October 4, 2006 Hmmm.. I wonder if that was a mistake? Maybe you could have mentioned it to your steward, or to the Purser's desk? Wierd.
racegrrl Posted October 4, 2006 #13 Share Posted October 4, 2006 We asked our steward - he said it was locked for security reasons after the sailaway. Oh well, we enjoyed our own balcony plenty enough anyway. :D

taylor_tr Posted January 19, 2007 #16 Share Posted January 19, 2007 Anyone know how the penthouse suite's are on the Carnival Glory? Im booked in a penthouse suite and just wondered how it was. Does anyone know exactly how to get onto the front secret deck thing on the Glory? Let me know! Thanks!!!! :D
amy2313 Posted January 19, 2007 #17 Share Posted January 19, 2007 We will be on the Glroy in March and would like to check out this area especially when arriving into Ports - looks like a perfect spot to nab some pictures. So if I have this right, if you go to the Lido deck and walk toward the front of the ship, there should be a door somewhere that will lead out onto this "secret" deck?? phlydude Posted January 19, 2007 #18 Share Posted January 19, 2007 You can see the door on the deck plans off to the left. Here are plans I made up for my navigation challenged wife to keep on her on the Valor but they hold pretty true for all Conquest class ships... Knights on the Beach Posted January 20, 2007 #19 Share Posted January 20, 2007 We were on the Glory over two years ago and those forward decks weren't so very secret then! Lots of people out there with us as we neared the ports.
