ILuvCarnival Posted October 6, 2006 #26 Share Posted October 6, 2006 I just spoke to my rep at Carnival and was told that they have no plans to change their policy, regardless of if the State Department pushes it back or not.. Of course, they said that last year... lol
HeatherL Posted October 6, 2006 #27 Share Posted October 6, 2006 Is a PASScard different from a Passport? If we have a passport, will we have to get a PASScard too? A PASScard will be a less expensive alternative to the passport, but it will have limitations like just for cruise travellers in the Western hemisphere. So you couldn't use it to fly to Europe or cruise to the Mediterranean. At least that's how I understand it...
HeatherL Posted October 6, 2006 #28 Share Posted October 6, 2006 I just spoke to my rep at Carnival and was told that they have no plans to change their policy, regardless of if the State Department pushes it back or not.. Of course, they said that last year... lol That's strange, because their website already has the new date on it. http://www.carnival.com/CMS/FAQs/New_Passport_Requirements.aspx I wish these cruiselines and the gov't would get together and come to some decision. I can't believe that Carnival would enforce some "law" that the gov't doesn't and risk discouraging business.
