Do they save any cabins in case there is a problem that can't be fixed in a cabin

I know most hotels never really sell out they always hold a few back for problems is this case of ships as well.

not sure about carnival, but we had a problem on a disney cruise once and they only had one cabin they said left and it was very tiny compared to ours......seems odd that they wouldnt have more left? because, what if something major did happen? and you couldnt stay in your cabin?

Seems that most ships sail at capacity nowadays. My last two cruises sailed full.

We had major plumbing issues in our room and they said they had no place to move us.
