What is the Best Private Tour in Naples?

Recommended Posts

I used http://www.driverinrome.com and had Remo for our driver. We had an incredible time (just back yesterday). It was absolutely the best option for the day and many ship excursion busses we stuck in traffic. After you drive the Amalfi Coast you will understand. These roads are narrow, hairpin turns, jammed with traffic and parked cars. I don't know how large busses are even allowed and they create havoc! Remo was great driver - got out of our van a few times to direct traffic and try to make road passable from blockages. It was a hoot! Then he took us to great spot for lunch overlooking Positano. He played the acordian for us and then sang (just loads of fun) and found us a guide in Pompeii, steering us away from the less than desireable ones. Give his company a look - high standards!

We have not used the other companies for Amalfi; But our experience with Driver in Rome was great...We had Fabrizio Melaragno as our driver guide for the Amalfi coast...We specifically requested for him for the Amalfi Coast because of the positive testimonials on him from previous cruisers...He indeed was entertaining, went the extra mile to accommodate us in all regards, and keep our teenage daughter and our mom happy....He really knew his way around, and very resourceful in getting parking spaces...He brought us to the most incredible picturesque places for photos, including Positano...We also went to Pompei as our last stop for the day...One can hire a licensed tour guide in front of Pompei or have it arranged ahead of time...

We also had Daniele Melaragno for Tuscany, and had a great day exploring Siena, Pisa, among other places...Daniele was extremely fluent in English (I think he is an Italian originally from Canada)...We wish we could have Remo Melaragno on our day in Rome or so, but Driver in Rome was already fully booked that day...We really enjoyed Italy, its people, culture, architecture... (especially Venice); the sights and sounds and memories are enough to last a lifetime...
