The last time I travelled on P & O (Adonia Mar 2005) you where able to buy duty free onboard for consumption in you cabin! Anyone know if this is still the case?

I have always found P & O to be the most leniant of cruise lines when it comes to buying wine etc whilst ashore for consumption on board.

Anyone able to help?

3 weeks and two days to our Carribean cruise on Arcadia!!!! "Bring it on"

Wooooooooooooooppppppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Kazover, up until recently you have been able to take alcohol on board the Sky, Star, Sun etc. but due to recent unfortunate circumstances you are now not meant to take any alcohol with you.

But many of us still do. I have and have not had it taken off us and put away until we disembark but there are other who have. On our last cruise it seemed to be the younger (18-25) they looked at.

Will I try it again? Yep you betcha.

Yes you can take duty free on any of the UK P&0 ships. We usually buy some at the airport on the way out to the Caribbean. You can also buy duty free ashore at any of the ports and take it back on board. P&0 are one of the few cruise lines that don't take alchohol from you when you go back on board. Drinks on board are very reasonable too. Have a great cruise, looking forward to ours next February. Annie:)

We took a box of white wine for cabin consumption, it fitted fine in the fridge, we had a balcony so it was great for late afternoon/pre and post dinner drinks! Also a large orange barcardi breezer, and some champagne!

I took a small weekender case as hand luggage and it fitted in there a treat!

Thx everyone for the P & O advice, its great to know I won't be losing both arms and both legs as on a recent Royal carribean cruise!

(Karen to be honest I should now change my name to kazover50, but I refuse to pass 49 lol)
