Cruiser_Rich Posted October 16, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2006 Been following the various posts on the new Margaritaville and will be visiting it in two weeks. Now that it's partially open what are your honest opinions and reviews from people who have been there.
drew sailbum Posted October 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 17, 2006 1) It's huge. 2) The food is good, as it should be. 3) They are still working out a couple kinks in their system, IMHO. They've got it at about 98%, with just a few more tweaks left to be done.
float'n fanatics Posted October 17, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 17, 2006 Are you saying there is a Margaritaville in Grand Cayman? I just went to Margaritaville.com, and there was no mention of it.
Cruiser_Rich Posted October 18, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted October 18, 2006 Yes, they just recently opened but why they haven't posted anything on the web site doesn't make sense.
float'n fanatics Posted October 18, 2006 #5 Share Posted October 18, 2006 Yes, they just recently opened but why they haven't posted anything on the web site doesn't make sense. I went back to Margaritaville.com website, and found this, which is part of a news article... There are three other locations in Montego Bay, Negril and Ocho Rios. “We’re expanding at Turks and Caicos, building a Margaritaville at the Carnival Cruise Ship Pier and that opens in February. It will be our biggest ever and will be able to seat 700 people, the construction in Cayman Islands is half-way finished and will open in early May.” commented CEO Mr. Brian Jardim. Is it near the pier in Grand Cayman?
Cruiser_Rich Posted October 18, 2006 Author #6 Share Posted October 18, 2006 Is it near the pier in Grand Cayman? From what I've read it's right accross from the Pier. Big Tillie Posted October 19, 2006 #7 Share Posted October 19, 2006 Our family was at Margaritaville on Oct. 10. We had a great time. Service was a little slow, but not too bad. The place is huge. They have a pool with a big waterslide. Its right across the street from the Carnival tender dock.

It was very nice, but as soon as we walked upstairs and saw the fake shark our autistic son changed our plans. It was a really cute shark in an Hawaiian shirt...but that did not matter. Off to Senor Frogs.....
