Snorkling with SeaDoo underwater scooters?

I was looking at a ship's excursion that was for "snorkling with a seadoo supercharged underwater scooter." Isn't this something you would usually do with scuba & not snorkling? It didn't say snuba or helmet dive. So are you just supposed to hold your breath and hope you don't point the scooter too low? Am I missing something in the explanation? Never used a scooter before so I am mystified. Help! :p

These are usefull if the reef/wreck to too far from shore to swim to comfortably, but at the same time too near to take a boat to.

Yes they are used more often by divers, but it is possible to use them for snorkeling for the reason stated above.
