Waikiki Restaurants

Getting really excited. Getting ready for our second Hawaii cruise since last October. Think we're really getting hooked on Hawaii. Flying in a few nights before the October 30 sailing of the Pride of Hawaii.

Staying at the Waikiki Outrigger Reef. Can anyone recommend a good reasonable restaurant nearby (walking, although we will have a car) with an ocean view? Would like to eat and then soak up a little local evening music and entertainment before retiring about 11pm, Is there any entertainment along the beach here?

Any recommendations for local nightlife would be appreciated as well.

Also, any recommendations for some local (non-touristy) lunches on the various islands.

Thanks,

Coconut Willies, upstairs in the International Marketplace (our favourite grill bar), also has great entertainment nightly

Tiki's Bar and Grill, Resort Quest Waikiki

La Cucarachas, a block back from the beachfront (good mexican!)

Cheeseburger in Paradise, on the beachfront

All good, reasonable prices, biiiig serves.

Cheers!

Right next door to the Outrigger Reef is the Halekulani. In the courtyard by the pool is House Without a Key - food is reasonable, sunset view/outdoors, and great hula entertainment by two former Miss Hawaiis. Really doesn't get much more tropical feeling than this.

I would also recommend the Pacific Beach Hotel.... It's along the main road along the Waikiki Beach.... They have an oceanarium and you can watch the marine life as well as watch the lady scuba diver feed the fish.... It's incredible.... It's a high end buffet, you don't go hungry and the food was incredible..... :D
