Best side of ship to see lava flow ?

I am planning to go next June on the Pride of Hawaii. Which side of the ship would be best to book a room in order to see the lava flow? Thanks in advance.

I could be wrong, but I remember our ship, a few years back, circling around several times so everyone could get a view.

We were on the POA and when we went by the lava flow the ship slowed to a crawl and pivoted completely around. It didn't make any difference where you were on the ship you had a great view. I loved Hawaii but the lava flow at night made it extra special.

Just my two cents, but I think the lava flow is best seen from the deck. That way you can switch to the other side when the ship turns and get twice the viewing time than if you are on your balcony. Now the Na Pali coast is a different story. That would be great from a portside balcony.
