rxnrn Posted October 23, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2006 I am planning to go next June on the Pride of Hawaii. Which side of the ship would be best to book a room in order to see the lava flow? Thanks in advance.
esther e Posted October 23, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2006 I could be wrong, but I remember our ship, a few years back, circling around several times so everyone could get a view.
tray Posted October 23, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 23, 2006 If you book the June 4 cruise on POH, come on over and join our roll call. We've already got a few cruisers chatting!
hateswaterloves2cruise Posted October 23, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 23, 2006 We were on the POA and when we went by the lava flow the ship slowed to a crawl and pivoted completely around. It didn't make any difference where you were on the ship you had a great view. I loved Hawaii but the lava flow at night made it extra special. sandyneck Posted October 24, 2006 #5 Share Posted October 24, 2006 Just my two cents, but I think the lava flow is best seen from the deck. That way you can switch to the other side when the ship turns and get twice the viewing time than if you are on your balcony. Now the Na Pali coast is a different story. That would be great from a portside balcony.
