racegrrl Posted October 24, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2006 They are on Carnival. Don't know about other lines, but I believe so. It's quite a shock if you aren't prepared for it! ;)
katier825 Posted October 24, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 24, 2006 Norwegian is saltwater. Princess is freshwater. I thought I heard that Holland was freshwater, but I don't know for sure.
Sheffie Posted October 24, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 24, 2006 RCI ships are salt water except for Freedom. (I have read this about Freedom, haven't experienced it personally.) The first time I went in a ship's pool and found out it was salt water, it was quite unexpected, but I found I like it. It is nice that the water gets refreshed each day, rather than chlorinated. madhouseinc Posted October 24, 2006 #5 Share Posted October 24, 2006 Are the pools on the ships saltwater? MSC is salty - bring goggles.
Hoyaheel Posted October 24, 2006 #6 Share Posted October 24, 2006 I think HAL has one of each--salt & fresh.
barbarah33 Posted October 24, 2006 #7 Share Posted October 24, 2006 Of the lines I have sailed on only Princess has freshwater pools. In my opinion it's one of the big pluses for them as I am not a fan of sticky salt all over me.
