'Bama Posted October 24, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2006 On my cruise last month, I looked into the Carnival "frequent customer thing" (I think it was a prepay Vacation Club?) since I didn't know anything about it. What intrigued me the most was that the points could be used at various resorts. I got the impression that Carnival owned some of those resorts. Is that true? If so, where can I find out about them? BTW, I forget his name, but the gentleman who tried to sell us the package was very good. We didn't buy because of inusfficient $$, but he wasn't too pushy and was quite pleasant. VentureMan_2000 Posted October 24, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2006 Carnival Vacation Club is not affiliated with Carnival. It's a private company that rents vendor space on some of Carnival's ships, and sells points that you have to use thru this company's travel agency. SOme like it, but mostly it gets very bad reviews. 'Bama Posted October 24, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted October 24, 2006 Feel free to read up and make an informed decision. http://cruise-chat.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/452603081/m/5941066461 Thanks. I'll do just that. I doubt I'll join the club, I was just wondering if Carnival had resorts. I'll read the link when I get a chance.
