Hi, the quarters are the phony token type, the nickles are real, pennies i don't know as they were putting paper in them but something metal fell out....lol. Of course they all love the paper. On the island of Curacao the casino had video that would take real nickles but the old slot type used tokens. There again some would take the paper money an some wouldn't. Hope this helps. I didn't go to any of the other casinos on any other islands.. Abby

I guess i will have to amend my statement about winning. I did win the Captains Random Bonus Club Jackpot and received a nice tee shirt saying so on the back and Ocean Winners Club on the front. The whopping jackpot was $28.80 but no complaints out of me, at least i did win something. Better then putting "everything" in the slots....lol. Abby:cool:

I will give them a call thanks four "A"

Hi, We didn't play the nickel slots, but for the quarter slots you had the options to put in real dollar bills and get credits. This avoids going to the cashier up front. If you win, it spits out the fake tokens, and you'll have to go the cashier.

In September there was no Texas Hold Em in the Casino, but I remember someone asking and the pit boss said one was being made and they expected it sometime. Did not give a date though!

Have Fun

Good Afternoon,

Does anyone know if the nickel and quarter slots take real nickels and quarters or only the casino coins?

Thanks.

I don't recall about the quarters, I used paper money and got back the ships quarters. The nickle slots take real nickles....

Just returned from the Volendam. I do spend time in the casino (I really enjoy some of those nickel slots) but it is amazingly unimportant to me. The nickel slots took paper money and returned real nickels (800 nickels is very heavy -- not a task for the disabled or elderly) -- I found that some of the machines just ate the money and others had a rather pleasing return as long as you know when to leave -- I did end the week a little ahead of where I started so I can't complain.

I am a member of the Ocean Players Club, have they integrated the Club on CCL and HAL yet? We were wondering if we could use our points from CCL on HAL. Do you know if they've done it yet?

I thought the machines would take real quarters, as I remember if I have a quarter in my pocket, I would put it in a machine as I was passing through.
