KariB Posted October 28, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2006 Has anybody ever done a snorkel tour and not snorkeled? We have a tour with a private tour company and 4 of us do not snorkel. They told me the water was clear and you did not even need to be in the water to see the stingrays. We are going to Stingray City and two coral gardens. Opinions please!!! Is this a waste or can we expect to see some good ocean scenery? Thanks, Kari
Choozin Croozin Posted October 28, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2006 You definately will be able to see the stingrays from the boat, but doubtful if you will see anything else. Unless you just want to go for a boat ride (depending on who you go with the sail back was very pleasant) I wouldn't waste your money if you don't want to snorkel. KariB Posted October 28, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted October 28, 2006 This is in regards to Grand Cayman...where I had originally posted the question. I hope I can get some feedback on this!! Thanks!!
vmom Posted October 28, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 28, 2006 You'll be able to see the sting rays from the boat. The water is not that deep and you are not really snorkeling with them, you're standing on the sandbar. If you don't snorkel and don't want to get out of the boat at Stingray city, its not much of a scenic boat ride. You won't be able to see anything but water at Coral Gardens. Frankly I'd do something else. I think it would be a waste of money for you.
