Return Airport Transfers purchased on the ship?

Can you purchase return to the airport transfers on the ship?

 

We are booked on the Rhapsody of the Seas, Jan 7, 2007. As we are going to Galveston a couple of days early, I booked a rental car from Enterprise. No problem.

 

When I asked to book a return rental car (one way to Houston Hobby) I was told that Enterprise wasn't booking cars from Galveston for Dec, Jan, and Feb. They are in negotiations with the Port of Galveston, and may not be able to continue offering their service from the port. I called Enterprise office in Galveston, and they told me about the situation, and, if they are unable to continue their service from the port, that they will be closed on Sundays. So, no return rental is available.

 

If we can purchase return transfers on the ship, or from Royal, that may be our best option.

Return transfer to airport can be purchased at the purser desk on your seapass. this will save you a lot of the hasle of getting a rental car.

Check with them early in your cruise as they will have a cutoff on the time to purchase the transfers that will probably be 2 or 3 days before the end of the cruise.:)

Instead of doing transfers, use a shuttle service like Galveston Limo (www.galvestonlimo.com).

Just got off the phone with RCCL. They do not have transfers available from Galveston to Hobby, only have them to IAH Bush International.

 

For our party, it is cheaper to just rent a SUV, and leave it at the hotel for the week.
