Freedom on TV

At the beginning of CSI Miami, they were scanning the shoreline & there was FREEDOM in her glory docked. We TIVOd the show & watched it at dinner yesterday with me screaming to Jerry to go back & freeze on Freedom & he yells "It's Freedom". You could even read the name along the top.

 

Nov 26 at 2:30PM ET is Freedom on Food Network, don't forget.

are you talkin to me? because i know people on freedom...and my name is Jordan..but im not a woman..im a guy....you said "her email"..so im confused lol...But its weird because there was a Jordan (female) on my sailing who had a great voice and sang with Jimmy Blakemore. Is that the friend you talked to?

Oh apologies Jordan .:o .yes it was the other Jordan ...sorry still recovering from getting ill on the Freedom....brain not working too good :o

 

Yes we had been chatting with Jimmy...and when we mentioned "Jordan" he had said about her great voice and then he sang Stairway to Heaven....so I got mixed up....och heck think I should go back to sleeping haha.

 

Anyway....Jimmy is off the Freedom now and going back to the Mariner but will be on the Liberty next year when she comes out.

thats really funny because stairway to heaven was the song he sang alllllll the time for me and my group...that was like our song. He does that soooo well! How great was Jimmy....i emailed him last week and asked him about scott perham, the pub entertainer for my 2 freedom sailings coming up in dec and jan. He said "scott is awesome, he blows me away on guitar..you guys will have a blast"...maybe he is modest, but im lookin forward to it..i love the whole pub scene late at night. Bull and Bear is great. This whole thing is strange because i am Jordan who loves stairway to heaven. Unless he just meant his email, not hers...or was he referring to a girl. Jordan (female) was very good vocally but i dont remember her loving stairway..but hey who knows. He didnt mention anything about New York did he? cuz we are from NY and he knows us as the boys from NY.

What's interesting about seeing Freedom in the show is that all of the footage you see in Florida, of Miami and the ships, coast, etc is all just filler shots that they edit in so that the show looks like it is in Miami. Of course, the show is filmed in and around Los Angeles (they try to murk out the backgrounds and film alot near Marina Del Rey and the beach towns, but the mountains and California dryness occasionally sneak into some shots!).

 

So that means that they somewhat regularly shoot or commission new helicopter filler shots to be filmed in Florida and sent to the editors to piece into the show.

 

Neat to know they are getting new stock footage down here regularly - maybe someday I'll see my car driving along AIA or me grabbing a drink from the Sky Bar on an RCCL ship on CSI Miami!

with helicopters flying with 4 cameramen hanging out the sides shooting footage, then in parking garage roofs, many of the LV casinos do not let them inside annymore. Golden Nugget is the winner this year with new owners that want the free advertising. They are calling it TANGIERS. Then 4 times a year they film the cast doing stock footage to use. Once we were at Stratosphere & 4 men on the ground outside the casino in the ally with LVPD SUV all over & there was Peterson.

 

He is filming a movie later this year, so on the show he will be attending a conference where he is guest speaker. He will be kidnapped, so that will tide him over til his filming is complete. So glad he shaved the face finally!

 

They film in LA as does CSI NY taking 6 studios for all the rooms they use per show. Same shots of NYC also seen weekly with Empire State different colors. CSI Miami also had a blooper this week. A scene with them questioning a biggie in his penthouse & his balcony door has Mirage in LV out it, then they show him & go back to the balcony door in the background shot & now it is blue Imperial Palace. OOPS this is Miami not LV! And this guy's penthouse rotates to show both sides of LV Blvd? SO I sent them an email & got back one stating they should hire me for scene set up & I told them they should as I had 13 years TV experience with radio on the side.
