Lynne Myrna Posted November 17, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 17, 2006 We are going on the HAL Noordam this coming Christmas, my DH wants to know if it's acceptable to wear cargo pants on a casual night, or just slacks? Your answers will be most appreciated.....Lynne
Hoyaheel Posted November 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2006 I was just on the Maasdam and I don't remember seeing any adult men in cargo pants in the dining room on casual night. But I admit I wasn't looking for them:rolleyes: Are they really sloppy cargo pants or are they a little "neater"? My husband wore "regular" slacks--flat front khakis, moss green, etc.

caviargal Posted November 17, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 17, 2006 I did not anyone in cargo pants or similar on HAL. IMO, regular slacks are a much better choice.
GORDONCHICK Posted November 17, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 17, 2006 Cargo pants, even on teens, are not appropriate in the dining room for dinner.

Soxfan05 Posted November 18, 2006 #7 Share Posted November 18, 2006 I think it's all in the fabric. I bought DH a terrific pair of black linen cargo style pants at Lord and Taylor. Paired with a Tommy Bahama shirt I think they're perfect for a casual night on a cruise. They're more sleek looking and comfortable. The cargoes the kiddos have from Abercrombie that are big and bulkie and look like they need to be ironed, will NOT go on the cruise waaay too casual.
