CoupleUK Posted November 20, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 20, 2006 Hi We are due to leave our RV at the CONTAINER port in Jacksonville, before hiring a car to go to Miami for a Transatlantic cruise a couple of weeks later. Does anyone know what Car Hire companies operate out of Jacksonville - especially the CONTAINER SHIP docks - if they are different to the cruise dock. Thanks so much !! We've tried the online companies but none of them list the docks at Jacksonville. Thanks again Paul

I honestly don't know if I understand your question:( You are leaving your RV at a Container Dock? We have a big area called BLOUNT ISLAND which is for commercial stuff. We only have one ship that sails from Jacksonville and it is a different port than Blount Island. As for rental cars......there are rental car companies at the airport......AVIS, HERTZ, etc. Hope this helps a bit. I am not quite sure I understand though...you are leaving your RV here in Jax but are sailing from Miami?
CoupleUK Posted November 20, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted November 20, 2006 Hi Yes - we are shipping the RV back to the UK. It is cheaper for us to cruise home than to fly one-way - that's why the RV is going from one port and us another. Hopefully - we will get off the cruise in Southampton and walk across the docks to get in the RV. Thanks for the info on Blount Island - I can do a few searches on that.
