willieg Posted November 25, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 25, 2006 We are making the Alaska trip in Sept on Celebrity. We need some suggestions for hotels with HC rooms with roll-in showers. We would like to have access to the Robson Square area. We would appreciate any information.
CaptData Posted November 25, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 25, 2006 Most of the major hotel chains have H/C rooms with roll=in showers. Pan AM ($$$$$), the Wiltshire, Hilton, ect.
strick1042 Posted November 28, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 28, 2006 I am in a wheelchair and we have stayed in the Hilton 5 times. Large room, large bathroom with roll in shower/large fold down padded seat. It is located 2 blocks from Robson. Average price for downtown hotel. willieg Posted November 29, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted November 29, 2006 Thanks for the suggestion. We are looking at the Sheraton Centre. I have checked with some hotels which do not have roll-in showers. What is it with Fairmount? We welcome any advice on seeing the sights downtown from a WC. I think the Sheraton is two or three blocks from Robson St. We will arrive with the afternoon free for strolling. We are always looking for good, reasonably priced restaurants. We will wait for the white glove service for the ship.

leoandhugh Posted December 14, 2006 #6 Share Posted December 14, 2006 while it is not inexpensive, we spent 3 nights pre-cruise at the fairmount waterfroint in an accessible non/smoking room with twin beds and a roll in shower with plenty of grab bars and a fold down seat in the shower. it is a little bit up hill to Robson street but very doable it is also right across the street from the cruise terminal and convention center with the pan pacific hotel.:)
