sunsetme Posted November 25, 2006 Author #2 Share Posted November 25, 2006 Another giant iceberg on its way Related Video Another giant iceberg on its way (1:45) Nov 19, 2006 A new giant iceberg is heading our way and it is reportedly the biggest yet. The large chunk of ice is sitting around the same latitude as Stewart Island - around 100 nautical miles southeast of Dunedin - and is one of at least three large icebergs in the area. A helicopter pilot who flew over the iceberg on Sunday morning says it is possibly up to a kilometre long. Iceberg fans have been flocking by boat and air since Wednesday to get a closer look at other giant icebergs that have been visible from the Dunedin coast.
