Choice in Itineraries

Ok, for those of you who have traveled to Alaska, which one of the itineraries below would you say is best for late May. Keep in mind, we cannot afford to do a cruisetour, and we cannot go at a different time in the year.

Seattle, Ketchikan, Tracy Arm, Juneau, Skagway, Victoria, Seattle.

Or

Vancouver, inside passage, Ketchikan, Hubbard Glacier, Juneau, Icy Strait Point, inside passage, Vancouver.

Definately round trip Vancouver. End of May is "iffy" for any ship to get within view of the Sawyer glaciers at the end of Tracy Arm. So you would have to plan on another glacier option if they were a priority to see.

You also will get more scenic sailing on the round trip Vancouver and they certainly pack plenty into 7 days. My opinion only.

Agree with Budget Queen; Vancouver r/t trip is the best. I have done both and there is no question that Vancouver is the best because you see more Inside Passage. The reason being that most ships that leave from Seattle go outside of Vancouver Island on the Pacific Ocean side and then go inland.
