kees4me Posted December 3, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2006 Hi. We'll be sailing on the Star 12/16/06 and thought the Mexican cooking excursion sounded like a fun activity for my husband and myself to do instead of sitting on a crowded beach. Unfortunately, I waited too long and the excursion is now wait-listed. Does anyone have any non-ship (private excursion) suggestions for us? If we can't find a cooking class, we're interested in sea kayaking (real sea kayaks; not the cheap sit-upons"). We've only kayaked in cold Puget Sound and would really enjoy doing some warm water paddling. Princess does not offer a sea kayaking excursion in Cozumel but we're open to a private excursion if we get a couple of good recommendations. Thanks for your assistance and recommendations. Jacqueline Posted December 3, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2006 The problem with kayaking in Cozumel is that there is a prevailing current- so this is not an activity that you would find here. I think that there is someone who could set you up privately to meet your needs. I have worked with her twice before. MaryPoppinz Posted December 3, 2006 #3 Share Posted December 3, 2006 I did the cooking class at Playa Mia before it was a Princess excursion. If you're still interested, just check in directly with them and see if you can book it that way?
mycruz Posted December 4, 2006 #4 Share Posted December 4, 2006 I really hope you're successful in getting this excursion. I don't have any experience with the waitlist but I did do the excursion last month. I have to say it was the most fun I ever had on an excursion. In addition to the class, met some very nice people from our ship, the Coral as well as the Carnival ship that was in port as well. If you don't have any luck this time, be sure to book it on the next cruise that takes you to Cozumel. Mary
