Slot Payout on the Dawn

For those who play slots do you play the quarter or dollar slots? We feel we hit more on the dollar slots. The quarter slots let you play longer but the Dollar ones seem to pay out more.

Actually, thats a real good question. The people in charge of the casino purchase machines with certain percentage payouts. Generally although not an absolute, the higher the amount the higher the percentage of payout. In Vegas or AC, penny slots pay around 90 cents per dollar bet, nickels are about 91 or 92, quarters a little higher and dollars are around 94 or 95. As you can see, they don't have to change the chip, they will get their money. These payouts are also figured over many, many hours, if not days of play.

Typically, the higher the bet, the better the odds. But I have won alot of money in nickel machines as well as dollar machines. The nickel machines with second screens give you your best chance of winning. The Random Number Generator controls the first screen but when you get to second screen you are on your own. If you are "lucky" enough to make the right choices you can walk away with alot of money. About two weeks ago I was in AC and won over $1,000.00 on a nickel powerball machine. That was not a jackpot, but cumluative as I played the game.

Actually it was the second or third night.....but of course we went back & spent $10 every night afterwards.... :) and the gentleman sitting next to us a few nights later dropped a quarter, which we handed back & then he promptly won $750!

I got a couple of free drinks on the Dawn, but that is only because I complained about something to the casino host. I also asked the casino manager who I should make another complaint to and he offered to buy me a drink for my problem. they do not give them away, but I think if you gamble alot and the host and manger see you dropping some money they will buy you one. I think if they gave out free drinks in the casino, you would never be able to get a seat at the tables or slots.:D
